On this walking tour around The Rocks, we will discover the birthplace of modern Australia. This is where it all began.
We will stroll through its streets and alleyways. We will tell stories of convicts, prostitutes, and mobsters. We will experience firsthand the terrible living conditions of this first settlement and understand the true interests of the British Crown in creating a penal colony in Australia. Tour 2 - discover the colony |
We will begin our tour by exploring The Rocks.
After visiting and discovering all of its secrets, we will head to Sydney's Botanic Gardens to uncover its historical importance in the development of the penal colony and Aboriginal communities. Finally, we will approach and explore the surroundings of the Opera House to tell you all the details of its construction. The tour lasts approximately 3.5 hours. The price is $85 per person. If you want to go back home and be able to say that you know almost everything about Sydney, then this is your tour.
In addition to visiting The Rocks and the Botanic Gardens, we will take a ferry to the old fishing village of Watsons Bay, sailing through one of the world's largest natural harbors! Watsons Bay will be our stop for lunch (lunch not included). We will walk three kilometers along the rugged coastline to visit Australia's first lighthouse. And don't forget your camera because we will take you to see the city from a spectacular lookout point. This tour ends at the famous Bondi Beach: graffiti, sand, and a lifestyle that captures you. During the morning, we will explore the historic neighbourhood of The Rocks and will continue the tour through the Botanic Gardens and the surroundings of the Sydney Opera House.
We will take a ferry from Circular Quay to the modern leisure area of Darling Harbour. During this journey, we will enjoy the beautiful views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, and the Luna Park. The tour takes us to the Chinese Garden of Friendship to learn about its design and the importance of Chinese immigration in Australia. We will continue the tour passing through the CBD, Town Hall, and the Queen Victoria Building. This tour has a high-end finish. Can you imagine what Sydney looks like from the air? We will show you. This tour concludes at the Sydney Tower Eye, the tallest viewpoint in the entire city! The duration of this tour is about 8 hours.
